We operate a restoration service on every set! this means that all stained glass windows are professionally restored in our workshop.

What exactly does the restoration entail?

Restoration involves the complete removal of all windows from the door.
these will be placed on a large table and checked for any breaks in the glass or lead.
should certain windows be broken they will be completely renewed.

Because we have a large selection in old glass, we have the ability to put the same color same texture back into the window.

Any broken soldering is also re-soldered.

After all the work is done, we begin by completely cleaning the window.

This includes making all the co-painted windows completely paint-free.

What happens after the restoration?

After the windows are completely restored and the sanded glass slats are put back in place, we look at the sliding door wheels to see if they are still functioning properly, if the sliding door wheels are no longer functioning properly we replace the wheels with original cast iron wheels.

Then we spray the wheels to keep them rolling properly.

If there are sliding door bowls in the doors they are removed and completely stripped of any layers of paint also we will repolish the door bowls.

After the work is completed, you will be notified and can pick up your restored set.
