This sumptuous antique wrap-around fireplace in deep black marble is an exquisite example of the Louis XV style, with its distinctive curved top frame that gracefully moves with the flowing contours of the fireplace. The curve of the frieze, the central circular ornament and the elegant volute consoles on either side give this piece a playful, baroque grace rarely surpassed. The beveled corners of the plinth blocks and the organic transition between all the elements make this fireplace an exceptionally refined piece.
