This exceptional antique orbital fireplace is crafted from the most coveted black marble: Noir de Mazy, quarried in Belgium's Meuse Valley and characterized by its intense, deep black color with a velvet sheen and featuring a central circular ornament on the frieze, flanked by elegant grooved blocks, and green marble decorative knobs on the capitals of the pilasters that add a subtle color accent to the deep black. The clean, architectural construction with carefully profiled moldings gives this piece a timeless authority.
